Rádi nahlížíme do osobních přehrávačů našich oblíbených muzikantů a proto tu pro vás máme další díl této rubirky. Tentokrát se svým hudebním vkusem pochlubil Tor Abyss, zpěvák hamburských špinavců Lucifer Star Machine. 16. listopadu zahrají opět na strahovské Sedmičce, tak se po koncertě na baru můžete pobavit o následujícím výběru.

Turbonegro – Apocalypse Dudes
Without this record there possibly wouldn’t be Lucifer Star Machine. I listened to this record so many times without gettin‘ sick of it. I loved everything about it. The theatrical approach of Kiss and Alice Cooper mixed with The Ramones and Poison Idea, They had goofy but funny lyrics and this dark gay sailor image which was something totally new at the time. A beard and red lipstick was pretty outrages back then, haha. They kinda nicked all the best parts throughout Rock’n’Roll history and made an album which is all killer no filler. Not much of a fan what the band has become today but this album is definitely one of my all time faves!
Zeke – Death Alley
Pretty much a white trash hardcore punk version of Motörhead. Fast as fuck and no fucking about. Just a couple of mid-tempo tracks with some heavy stoner type riffs thrown in so u can catch your breath. I love nearly all of their stuff but this record is their holy grail! Been listening to this album a million times and it‘s as good today as it was back then.
Danzig – Danzig
Well, I guess it might be a bit obvious that Danzig is one of my favourite singers. When this album came out and I heard „Mother“ for the first time, I pretty much thought it’s the best thing I ever heard. His first three albums are all great. Not so sure what happened after that. Even though I listened to Danzig since the very beginning, I got into the Misfits much later. However, both have been a massive influence on Lucifer Star Machine.
The Dwarves – The Dwarves Must Die
I admire this band for having so many different influences but – without any doubt – can still be classified as a punk band. This record is so well produced and has so many ideas incorporated, it‘s insane! Pop, Hardcore, Punk, Hip Hop… it‘s all there but it never sounds artificial or messy. The songs are really catchy and if they wouldn’t be all about drugs and fucking, they might have had a hit or two, haha!
Blood For Blood – Outlaw Anthems
„White Trash Hardcore Rock‘n‘Roll Fuck You!“ As good as Hardcore gets! Crass non-pc lyrics and in your face attitude. The songs are really catchy and great to sing along to when you are pissed, haha! I‘ve been listening to this album a lot when I lived in London and split with my ex-wife. This record is angry and pissed off and it kinda helped me through a rough patch in my life.
Turbonegro – Apocalypse Dudes
Bez téhle desky by patrně neexistovali Lucifer Star Machine. Apocalypse Dudes jsem slyšel nesčetněkrát, nikdy se mi ale neoposlouchala. Miluju na ní úplně všechno – teatrální přístup Kiss a Alice Coopera mixnutý Ramones a Poison Idea. Mají hloupé, ale zábavné texty a jejich image temných teplých námořníků byla pro mě něco nového. Plnovous a rudá rtěnka byla tehdy pěkně pobuřující, ha ha ha. Tak nějak vybrali to nejlepší z rock’n’rollové historie a udělali album bez slabého místa. Nejsem úplně fanoušek toho, kde jsou Turbonegro dnes, ale tohle album je rozhodně jedno z mých nejoblíbenějších.

Moc pěkná white trash hardcore punková verze Motörhead. Je to kurva rychlý a bez jakéhokoliv sraní okolo – jen pár tracků ve středním tempu s hutnými stoner riffy, během kterých můžeš popadnout dech. Mám rád prakticky všechno od Zeke, ale tohle je svatý grál. Slyšel jsem tohle album snad milionkrát a je pořád tak dobrý, jako tenkrát.

Asi je to hodně znát, že Danzig je jedním z mých nejoblíbenějších zpěváků. Když tohle album vyšlo a já slyšel poprvé Mother, určitě jsem si myslel, že je to nejlepší věc, co jsem kdy slyšel. Danzigova první tři alba jsou skvělá a nejsem si úplně jistej, co se pak stalo. I když Danziga poslouchám od samého začátku, Misfits jsem propadl až o dost později. I tak ale Misfits i Danzig hodně ovlivnili zvuk Lucifer Star Machine.

Obdivuju tuhle kapelu za to, že se v ní mísí tolik vlivů, a stejně může být nade všechnu pochybnost pořád považována za punk. Tohle album je tak skvěle zprodukované a má tolik nápadu, že je to až šílené. Pop, hardcore, punk, hip hop… Je tam všechno, ale nezní to ani zmateně, ani strojeně. Písničky jsou skutečně chytlavé, a kdyby všechny nebyly o drogách a píchání, mohli mít Dwarves jeden nebo dva hity, hahaha.

„White Trash Hardcore Rock‘n‘Roll Fuck You!“ Deska skvělá, jako hardcore samotný. Obhroublé texty bez politické korektnosti a přímo do ksichtu. Písničky, které si můžeš zakřičet, když jsi nasranej! Když jsem žil v Londýně a rozcházel jsem se se svou bývalou manželkou, poslouchal jsem tohle album často. Tahle deska je naštvaná a zlostná a tak nějak mě pomohla probít se drsným obdobím mého života.
