Ve čtvrtek 16. 11. se do Prahy vrací švýcarská kapela Nasty Rumours, kdy zahraje spolu s The Unholy Preachers a The Junk Food v relativně novém prostoru Underdogs‘. A tak se nabízelo vyzpovídat protentokrát jejich zpěváka Juliho.

During my last holiday I spent some time in Northern Ireland and eversince I’m listening to a lot of Protex again. I will never stop being impressed by the the punk scene of Belfast back in the late 70’s and its bands such as Protex, Rudi, The Outcasts just to name a few… Writing punk history in times of war. Big up to Terry Hooley and Good Vibration Records.
The Cavemen – Born to hate
Saw them live in August at Get Lost Fest in Hamburg when we played there with Bad Mojos. These Cavemen-boys are wild and they take no prisoners. Probably one of the best young bands at the moment for me personally. Fuck, I really hope they’ll survive their twenties!
Various Artists – We’re Loud: 90s Cassette Punk Unknowns 2xLP
This double-LP compilation is a ripper! If you are into lo-fi garage punk you probably already know this one, if not check it out immediately. As already in the title: all tracks and bands are garage-punk unknowns from the 90ies. Fucking sweet.
Cyanide Pills – Sliced and diced
Earlier this year with Nasty Rumours we played two shows with these cool blokes out of Leeds. They are an amazing live band and their new record is fucking addictive. It’s spinning on my record player on regular basis.
The Spits – Müde und einsam
The genius that is King Khan sings the songs of the best band of the world in german. Can it get any better? No.
Protex – Strange Obsessions
Během mé poslední dovolené jsem strávil nějaký čas v Severním Irsku a od té doby zase hodně poslouchám Protex. Nikdy mě nepřestane fascinovat punková scéna v Belfastu v pozdních sedmdesátkách a kapely jako Protex, Rudi nebo The Outcasts… psaní punkové historie za časů války. Palec nahoru pro Terryho Hooleyho a Good Vibration Records.

S Nasty Rumours jsme na začátku roku hráli dva koncerty s těmahle cool chlapíky z Leedsu. Naživo jsou super a jejich nová deska je sakra návyková. V mém přehrávači rotuje dost pravidelně.
